FAQ

Are you a store, gallery, someone's living room...?

We're sort of all of those things - we're what our artists need us to be. We're open six days a week for guests to shop, hang out, and visit with our animal friends, kind of like a store. We host First Friday shows and monthly exhibits, much like a gallery. A lot of days are spent on the big green couch in the back, working on whatever projects we have going on. So, yeah.

Are you animal friendly?

We love animals, which is why our two rescues - Rue the Dog and Lady Magnolia aka Mama Cat - are present almost all the time at the store. While our animals are super friendly with people, please be aware that they may get skittish around other animals. For people with allergies or issues with the occasional fuzzball, please keep in mind before visiting us.

What should I do if I want to show my work in your space?

Email commonroomphilly@gmail.com and Chelsey will set up a meeting to check out your work and go over details. It's that simple!

What should I do if I want to plan an event in your space?

For all events, we ask a fee of $100 per hour with a two-hour minimum that includes 30 minutes before and after for setup and breakdown. Email commonroomphilly@gmail.com with potential dates, times, and number of attendees.

How do you become a member of The Common Room?

Members enjoy 50% off workshop registration, 20% off store items, and one event in the gallery per month. Email commonroomphilly@gmail.com for application.
